Named from the Spanish for the color red, and nicknamed The Centennial State. Colorado is bordered by Utah to the west; Wyoming to the north; Kansas and Nebraska to the east and New Mexico and Oklahoma to the south. Arizona also borders Colorado by just a tip in the southwestern corner of the state.

Colorado's highest peak is Mount Elbert at 14,433 feet, the 3rd highest in the United States. The lowest point is at the Arikaree River 3315 feet above sea level.

NOTE: I WAS BORN IN COLORADO. RIFLE, TO BE EXACT. I HAVE BEEN TO THE ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK, MESA VERDE AND THE GREAT SAND DUNES.  I CONTINUE TO LIVE IN THIS BEAUTIFUL STATE.
